What is Reiki?
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a simple, natural and safe method for spiritual and and profound healing.
Reiki is given by laying on of hands to allow the reiki or "life force energy" to flow as a high frequency energy that breaks up energetic blocks in the body to promote balance and harmony in mind, body and spirit.
How does it work?
Reiki is performed by a practitioner placing their hands either on or slightly above their client in a series of non-invasive and comfortable hand positions. During a session, Reiki energy is channelled by and flows through the hands of the practitioner and into the energy body of the client. As a truly holistic healing method, the whole person is treated, rather than specific areas.
Reiki promotes healing by activating a deep state of relaxation which helps the body heal and balance itself at a deep level.
The powerful Reiki energy is intuitive and intelligent. It will always flow where it is needed most.
What do reiki sessions feel like?
You will usually lie down for the session to allow you to be comfortable and relaxed.
Reiki sessions are very individual and each person experiences reiki differently depending on what healing each individual needs at that time. Most individuals experience deep relaxation. It is common to feel a deep and wonderful sense of peace and well-being as the healing energy flows through the all layers of your being.
Some experience reiki as sensations of heat, tingling, or experience seeing colours.
Sometimes individuals can have an emotional response which indicates powerful shifts are taking place, allowing balance and harmony to be restored.
